And I suggested a Face2Face meeting in pubic place, a bank or an AD.

What’s the problem exactly? You’re going to need to add some details brother.

I got a PM saying he was interested in my listing, couple of PM sent back and forth.
I offered we meet in public where both parties will feel safe, preferable in a bank or local AD. Which he declined, I don't think a real buyer local to me would refuse such offer. Doesn't make sense.

It's not unreasonable for a buyer to feel uncomfortable dealing with a complete stranger with thousands of dollars at stake. So far I haven't noticed any red flags in any of your reasoning to out this person.

I tend to agree.

I don't know which admin you contacted in regards to this member, but from what you've said here, nothing indicates any nefarious intent to me!

I agree which was why I requested a Face2Face transaction, now why would a buyer feel uncomfortable meeting in person?
Of course I won't ship out without getting paid, would I?

Agree, I prefer F2F at a local bank, it is a safe environment where both watch and funds can be verified. If the buyer does not want to meet, then funds first (wire transfer so you are protected against a chargeback) followed by watch shipping, insured. Thing is, lately there is a lot of scamming going on on both sides. Buyers feel unsafe sending funds they cannot recover if something goes wrong, sellers feel unsafe shipping in the event the buyer claims they received something different and opens a dispute. Tough spot to be in these days, I would suggest sticking to F2F if that is what you are most comfortable doing.

F2F transactions also go wrong, including @ banks, so I find it perfectly understandable to not want to meet a stranger whilst holding thousands of dollars, or holding a watch worth multiple thousands while meeting an unknown person..

You can still sell a watch, wait for the money to clear, and ship to the buyer.
Aside from the buyer not wanting to meet in person, where has he/she gone wrong?

Other than a lack of agreement on meeting in person, I don't see any issues with the buyer from your description. While there are merits to a F2F, I might have some pause as well based upon a past experience despite numerous successful in person transactions

This thread should be deleted and Danny banned for a week. Guy is dense and making libelous statements against a forum member who only expressed interest in buying a watch and wasn’t comfortable meeting face to face. You are a huge disappointment

Sorry but how can any American not know that Dallas is in Texas? And since you seem to be in California, why would a F2F seem like a plan?

Yes that could work. But since buyer was also in TX meeting F2F was more safe for both parties.

What would you do, if I (buyer) refuse your payment methods and even doesn't want to meet F2F in a public place of your choice, rather asking you ship first before making payment?

I have dealt with rolexguy212 before. His name is Mohamed. If he wants to buy your watch, and you want to sell one, meeting at a safe place shouldn't be troublesome. if you want payment first, and send to him after, maybe its reluctance to pay a stranger first as well?

I would no longer engage the prospective buyer, and move on.
F2F is not for everyone, it's also not indicative of a scam.
I find it hard to believe he asked to ship first, but hey, I'm not privy to the conversation, and the buyer is currently not able to reply with his side of the story...
Unless there was something else you are withholding, I don't see any attempt to scam here.

To decline a F2F, is not reason enough for pointing fingers or accusations of deceit.
I'm happy to be wrong here, just not seeing it with anything said.

I can't believe you even ask such questions. Any normal person would just shrug it off and move on to the next buyer. No wonder this guy doesn't want to meet you F2F; I wouldn't either.

Sometimes these threads are useful in a way the OP never expected.

Troublesome buyers and troublesome sellers are everywhere.

Now its in black and white for the future reference of all.
