I have to service my sub. There is a Rolex retailer not far from me that also is a Rolex service center. Any reason to send it to RSC versus take it there?

Same warranty either way.

If your local AD has an onsite watchmaker able to perform a service, then sure, why not?
Just make sure they aren't just sending service work to RSC and acting as the intermediary..
