Explorer 2 swiss Dial only
Comparing my friend's polar swiss only and mine, I noticed a dial different font. I find harder to read the darker one but it looks better to me. Who sees it? Rolex used a different dial? Which one you prefer, the darker or the lighter one....

If Explorer follows Subs - there were both original issue "Swiss" only Submariner dials (U- or A-series '99-'00) and then there were service dials that were "Swiss" only, used to replace by RSC as service dictated. Your Explorers may be an example of that.

Rolex always uses a variety of dials in the same watch at the same time, so it's not that surprising.
