Hi Arneleo.
Nice of you to reply so soon after joining the "club" I live only a couple of miles from Clifton. I hope they made you feel welocme there. Something Bristolians are not particularly good at. What it like where you live?. never been but always wanted to visit California. love your weather. |

Hi Arneleo. What 12 hours?. A trip that took thay long must have been hell, you can fly to USA from here in 8 hours. I know the Bristol Uni very well. work there sometimes.
Our clocks go forward tonight so we are in official British Summer time from tomorrow. Wouldn't think so with the weather today. Very cold and wet. Snowing in scotland ! |

Daytona SS Submariner The Sub was a gift from the wifey, The other Three took years to save for, but it was worth it. Make sure when you go to the AD that they have all authenticated paperwork, you might want to trade in or sell these watches one day and without the proper paperwork you will decrease the value of the watch but your local AD should have some record of your purchases you made from them. |

Hi Polo.
Great taste in watches. how many more you after, cause you know we guys always want one more, right? With regards to the AD, yes you are so right there. I am at the moment ordering a diamond dial President 18ct gold, hence the photo of a model with my signature,. I considered going to the net for a dealer but heard so many things (many From this forum as a guest) against doing this, so I have decided to go the AD route. I'll post picures of the real watch when i get it. I'm finding it hard to not think constantly about the day I collect it..... |

Dream you could never go wrong going with an AD because you have peace of mind.
I don't know much about london but i will check into my booklets to see where an AD may be in your area. Please do not ever purchase a rolex over the internet. As far as more watches i'm done for now, maybe a couple of years from now. |

Hi Polo.
Thanks for the advise, but I have seen enough on e-bay to know the Rolexes being sold there are nearly always chock a block full of after market non- Rolex diamonds and therefore Rolex will not touch them. In fact over here in England I have heard tells of innocent people sending their rolex for a service, to be contacted by Rolex, who give the owner two choices 1. The watch is destroyed by rolex or 2. Everything on the watch that says "Rolex" is removed from the watch, by that I mean filed off etc, which can leave the watch in a very sorry looking state I am sure. not for me at all. I admire your will power.....not for another couple of years Eh! (is the wife pecking over your shoulder? |
