Underside AR across the board?
Given that Rolex has started applying an AR coating to the undersides of the crystals on the new models, I was wondering if this will be something applied to the existing ranges.
Does anyone have any experience of a 2021 GMT-Master, for example? Thanks |

I was wondering the same thing.
If anyone can comment on AR on new releases/configurations then I'd appreciate it also. |

My Exp 1 - 124270 has it and it is a DRAMATIC difference from my older models. The dial really pops and in some angles it looks like the glass isn't even there. I love it.

Good question; wonder when this actually began. I know, it's Rolex; only Rolex execs know for certain!!!

I always thought the lack of AR helped make the watches pop with more added glare making it appear quite flashy - something most owners prefer? Or am I wrong here.

I remember discussing this to the emissary of HQ to the new boutique during an opening. He said 12661x series and current Daytona had full AR undercoating. Might be another one but I don’t remember.
My take anyhow is you don’t want anything else after experiencing this. It truly make the watch more clear. |

I had a 14270 which I sold to make room for a 124270, which I have been lucky enough to get 2 weeks ago. I fully agree with what you said, and would add that the conjunction of the glossy dial and AR coating brings a much more classy touch to the new one. It definitely looks more luxurious, while still remaining more versatile and understated than other rolexes, which I like. Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk |

Big difference between 3235 and 3135 in YM40 blue. New with coating very clear color.

126622 when it first came out with 3235 movement which was I think 2019, it didn't have underside AR. So, have you bought one recently and it does now have the AR? |
