Beware of spoof trf website and scammer (OCRLEXGUY)

I just received a PM from a member here on a reference check on OCRLEXGUY

I know the real deal is OCROLEXGUY!

stay away, the scammer uses a spoof website to mislead the member here.

the scammer even used me as a reference.
scammer is trying to sell a AP

STAY AWAY! STAY ALERT!

before you log into rolex forums, check the address bar and make sure it's the correct URL!
i click into the URL given and it was link to another URL but the website is a copy of the TRF User Interface, of course i didn't log on



*weirdly, the PM doesn't appear in my PM box, i just received a email notification as shown below.
I might have deleted but i don't recall going into my TRF PM inbox at all*
might be a spoof email as well, can the admin check?

BTW I AM 2FA ACTIVATED!

or maybe the guy is trying to get me to log on to the spoof website of trf.

hmm. this is weird on so many level. luckily i closed the site after i see a different URL

I got the same message, but it was for a reference check for an AP. It is the same misspelled user name, but asking me to email him because "My tapatalk is bad".

Here is the message that I got:

Hi,

I am about to pay for a Audemars Piguet watch from “OCRLEXGUY” on Rolex forums. He said you bought from him in the past.

This is a BIG purchase for me, so your response will be appreciated

Pls send me email response, My tapatalk is bad.

i believe it's a spoof email that replicates the PM.
I can't the find the PM in my TRF INBOX at all and i am 100% sure i didn't delete any PMs.

Please take care guys, i think this Matt guy is trying to get us to log on the spoof site for our passwords

Scammer forged the sender address? Didn't know this was possible.
