Hi folks, my first post here but wanted to ask the forum for advice here. I'm being offered a 1680 mid-case and wanted to get a legit check here...

See pictures below - I've seen archive threads here that talk about these fakes and after reviewing some of the pictures, I just wasn't sure...

I would appreciate any help here, thanks in advance

I was offered this case as well, or at least saw it on ebay :)
I asked about it at VRF, and generally it is seen to be not good. Obviously fake engravings, maybe a Vietnam case?

Case is fake but caseback is genuine

Buyer of the case contacted me about a mk3 dial I’m selling, asking about the correct dial for a 2.722 serial. Looks like he’s trying to build a complete watch with this case.

If you're building a replica why overpay for an old fake case, just buy a new fake case?

Midcase is likely no good - don't like the engravings. Looks like one of those Italian Ebay seller (RRTVN or whatever he goes by today) cases.
