the more i look at patina'ed luma plots on explorer 2s the more i suspect some have been "helped". I too have tritium dial explore 2 that the lume plots look almost egg shell. I wonder if it will change any further. only time will tell.

16570 Explorer II Tritium 1995. Will the lumes turn yellow?
Maybe they use a “laser” to age the plots.
I wonder about a lot of watches I see. The ones that aren’t suspect to me are the dials that had a textured lume from the factory, almost like a micro cheesecloth. Those would be hard to fake. I get curious when 20-30 year old watches have brown Lume, but every dial is unique. I think the lack of light exposure turns them brown? |

I have noticed that not wearing Ming for a few weeks the lume appears darker and then lightens up after a couple of days of outdoor exposure.
