rolex daytona

Have a wolf watch winder that I keep my sub and daytona in on setting c which is bi directional. I unplugged winder to use the outlet and forgot to plug back in. Plugged it back in both watches were dead but the sub picked back up. Why won't my Daytona do the same?

Wind manually and put it back on the winder.

This didn't work. Watch still dies. Feels kinda rough when I manually wind it. Never dies on my wrist but won't stay wound on the winder.

A winder is not intended to wind a watch, it is intended to keep a watch wound.

If the winder is not set on sufficient turns per day (TPD), then the watch will eventually wind down and stop - right on the winder, just as it would on your wrist if you are not active enough.

Naturally, this depends on the auto-winder inside the watch functioning properly.

Ok so my Wolf winder says a b and c and says to set on c for the rolex. I've manually wound it so is there a place to set the TPD?

Just my opinion but winders are so unnecessary and unnatural...and possibly not as good for the watch as just wearing them on a rotation. Always wind them first when putting them on...

Depends on your winder.

The latest are accessible via Bluetooth for settings so you need your instruction manual. Rolex watches are usually 650 TPD.

The a,b, and c are only direction settings.

Was just told by a watch repair guy that what was set on chrono and they won't run long term that way. We will see I guess.

If the chronograph function is running it will definitely reduce power more quickly. I find my Daytona though very easy to wind and set manually since only time and chronograph functions.

I still can't figure out my Wolf winder though or even how to get my Rolex to stay on without falling, so what do I know
