Suggestions on the next addition

Looking to my next watch and interested in recommendations and evaluation of current collection.

Current Rolex include
36 DJ 16200
YM Rhodium 126622
GMT II 126711 CHNR
OP 41 (Silver) 124300
Submariner 124060

Non Rolex
Cartier Santos (my dress watch - never get too dressed up anymore)
Breitling Superocean 42 - (beach and pool watch)
Breitling Avenger 43

Not in photo - G-Shock Casioak

I am really not interested in PM. Love Rolex, but open to others.

Some things I would like to look at are:
Omega Moonwatch - I have no need for Chrono, but its a cool watch
Panari - Something different
Reverso - Although It's probably a bit too dressy for me

Any experience or comments on these, or other Rolex and non-Rolex would be appreciated.

Told my SA recently that I would be interested in a Sub 126613LB or a GMT II 126710 BLNR. Thoughts on these?

I’d say either a Speedmaster Moonwatch with the hesalite (I personally prefer it on the strap over bracelet but you can buy both) or JLC Master Control Calender Chrono. I would say it’s not too dressy either with the tan strap but you could also buy a different colour strap if you wanted to dress it up.

Thanks. Yea, going to try that on today.

Never gave Grand Seiko any thought, but I will find an AD and try one on.

Thanks to all for the comments

I only really like the CHNR out of them all.

I'd consolidate rather than add at this point imho. I've said in another thread I was once up to 27 pieces which was absolutely insane.

Now - I'd much rather have 3-4 very very very nice pieces than many smaller less significant pieces.

For something a little different:

GP Laureato 41
IWC BP 43
Blancpain 50 Fathoms
JLC Polaris
Zenith Chronomaster

Bluesy - perfect addition to your collection. Adds a sub date, blue and gold. Adds much needed color. Love the 124060 and root beer!

I love my Reverso. Is it dressy? It can be. But it looks great and doesn’t clash with casual outfits. I often wear it with t-shirts, and I like the way it looks with them. I’d try one on if you haven’t yet. It might surprise you.

i would consolidate to the classics:
sub, gmt, cartier, g-shock, OP41 maybe, and then consider a different brand (panerai or IWC pilot maybe), OR consider upscale item (lange, patek, vacheron). Lastly, would encourage you to check out a speedmaster, a great value and fun watch, esp as you learn the history. Agree with the need for color. Maybe iWC green dial.

Another view - you dont have a complication like an annual calendar - maybe a sky dweller in TT would be perfect addition, or a SS one. The sky dweller is unique in the rolex catalog, and looks different in white, black and blue.

You have a lot of bases covered here.

I generally tend to follow these 5 watch types

GMT
Dive
Dress
Chrono
Field

Your dive collection is heavily represented and have a GMT within it. You mention you do t dress up much, however, Santos and OP41 would cover those bases.

So from your collection what’s kinda missing is a field and chrono. Either buy 2 watches covering those bases to give you diversity. Or one watch to cover both.

If you married the two a
1. Panerai chrono would be really nice and different (If you married the two)
2. IWC spitfire chrono

Suggestions for 2 watches.
1. Panerai Luminor Marina 42mm field and a moonwatch (not a fan of these tbh)
2. Rolex Explorer I plus Tag Monaco.

Just a few thoughts

I would get an omega or a panerai of some sort. Speedy, or some variation of it, or a pam 233 if your wrist can accommodate. If you like colour, a 1313 (or the 42mm version if 44 is too big), or a 1033.

I think you may be right, but a lot of good suggestions here.

Nice collection, another vote for a Speedy. Adds a new brand, chrono, manual wind, and a piece with a ton of history all rolled into one.
