I don’t know that many people are walking around with cash anymore, i think most of the deals are done via bank wire. The risk is obviously inventory but you see the big dealers with huge trunks. I wonder who secures those each night.

These precautions are for dealers at a jewelry show, and I can assure you, these are real dangers.
I have known people a lot lower on the food chain, that have been robbed this way.

And the last time I went to a watch show, no bank wires, no Venmo, no cards, no checks.
Cash was king.
