Co‑axial master chronometer moonphase
Happened to see this one today, very sweet looking watch. I don't need a chronograph and have had a Speedmaster in the past but this one is really catching my eye.
Beautiful accents, wears smaller than the stated size of 44.25mm. I am already a huge fan of the METAS spec master chronometer movement. I may have to ponder this one.

Still comparing, really liking the Vintage Black and a better image of the Moonphase Chrono

Co‑axial master chronometer moonphase
That’s a good looking speedmaster. The hour markers are significantly defined from the minute track and the moon phase is done very well

I really like the subdial layout on the Speedy moonphase. Running seconds and date on one side, chrono minutes and hours on the other. The moon phase is left alone to admire, and the disc looks quite detailed.

Whatever you do, do NOT look at the Avanturine Dial Blue side of the moon version...
It was so beautiful in person that I ALMOST bought it right there and then, even though I was not in the market for an Omega Chrono... ![]()

Indeed, Blue Side of the Moon Moonphase Aventurine is extremely tempting.
I purchased it a week later after trying it out at an AD, I could not keep it out of my mind. My very first Omega. |

Oh no doubt. It is really hard to read. I can't even see the actual numbers. I can read it basically because I know the numbers are odd with 31 at the top and 15 at the bottom. I can usually figure it out by counting up or back. I can also see where the first number changes, so like from 19 to 21 which also helps. But yeah if reading the date quickly and easily is a major need this is not the best watch.

I have to agree that the date is kinda difficult to read. The precious metal version do have magnifier on the date hand to help the eyes.

I like it but don't think I could pull off a 44mm.

Really cool looking pieces. I miss my dsotm sometimes. Next year is the 15th anniversary of the launch, so maybe they'll get the new calibers.

I have a real softspot for the meteorite side of the moon or the blue ceramic aventurine dial. The thickness has put me off trying one in person though.
How do those that own them above find the size? Sent from my SM-G780G using Tapatalk

These moonphases and ceramic models are amazing. I don’t own one, but have tried them on a bunch of times and they wear small. The stated thickness is also a bit deceiving as the sapphire on front and back is quite raise. It has a really cool effect on the dial and on the backside I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movement closer to the sapphire! I’d have a tough time picking which to buy. Also hoping to see them bring out some ceramic models with master chronometer.
