I’m still in the honeymoon phase with my BLNR hence why I’d personally do anything to keep it. I totally understand your view on it, the BLRO covers the GMT function in your collection and from a £ / $ point of view your trade was a very good one

Call me crazy but somehow, I think the Jubilee fits better the BLNR than the BLRO ! Don't get me wrong, I love the Jubilee + BLRO. But IMO, the BLNR with Jubilee looks like the sweet spot ! Congrats on yours !

Thank you! I’m so happy with it and still can’t believe I’m lucky enough to have my two favourite Rolex sports models.

Have a great weekend

if I was looking to buy the new speedy would the sapphire sandwich be better than the hesalite?

Not better... just a little bit different ! It's a matter of personal opinion.
The Hesalite version has its Pros as the dial looks more crispy since the thicker sapphire crystal creates more refraction compared to the Hesalite acrylic. It's also a bit more true to the real Moonwatch used by the Astronauts. The Sapphire version is for people like me who really gets bothered about scratches. You can also appreciate the movement and this is something you cannot with the Hesalite. Many YT videos show the differences. The hesalite version has a full brushed steel bracelet while the Sapphire has small polished links. Sapphire has also an Omega applied Logo vs a Printed one on the Hesalite. It's really a subjective matter. The Sapphire version is also almost 1K USD more expensive compared to the Hesalite.

From my observation and asking 3 different AD and also, an Omega Boutique, all of them had Hesalite pieces in stock all the time I checked which wasn't the case when it comes to the Sapphire !

The hesalite version is different to the Sapphire version, I have the hesalite and love it, it is such a great watch. But I am considering adding the new Sapphire version simply because it gives me access to view that gorgeous movement.

Not sure that Mrs O will be impressed, I can hear the comment now 'you've got a watch like that why do you need another?'

So my advice, buy one then get the other.

I just bought a new 2021 Speedmaster crystal and love it. Super versatile too with so many aftermarket strap options.
