For me, it all depends on the watch. Much the way I'd prefer a Honda sedan over a Toyota, but a Toyota SUV over a Honda.
For a daily wearer, I'd prefer my Explorer or an OP over a Constellation or Aqua Terra. For a diver (that I wouldn't actually dive with), I'd prefer the Seamaster Heritage over a Sub. For a chronograph I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to go with a moon watch over a Daytona. For a dual timezone watch, I like the GMT better than the comparable Omegas (but haven't loved a dual time watch since the five-digit Rolexes). For a PM piece (if I wore those), I'd go DD36 over any of the Omegas (but would pick a Constellation for TT - I think it's the most iconic TT out there after the DJ Jubilee). |
