What’s a “half crescent error bezel”?

Back in 2019 I got the call for my Pepsi.

I was disappointed to receive what looked more like a Coke. Here is a photo...
It was nice, don't get me wrong. But I wanted a Pepsi.

Long story short. The AD took it back and gave it to someone who appreciated it more than me. And soon after.... I received a Pepsi that actually looked like a Pepsi.

My AD brought the matter to Rolex. They denied that there are MK2's vs MK3's, etc but did acknowledge variance between bezel colors of this model.

So this Pepsi that looks like a Coke thing isnt new. It's been a few years since they began showing up very very dark

Personally I do like the darker hue of the blue on your original BLRO, but to each his own. I find it quite interesting though that the blue on the original BLRO was so dark that it didn't even appear to react with sunlight. Perhaps it was the angle?

After playing around with UV light I came to realize that the blue part of BLRO reacts to UV, and so I like the change in color under the sun.

Here are pics of my 2021 model in different light. I love the range of color!

I like the range of the ceramic BLRO where it looks in different lighting like a darker blue, vs almost a gunmetal blue in other lighting vs a lighter blue that is (<just> slightly) purplish....And that is how the second one they gave me is...

The issue with the first one and I am not exaggerating- is that it was so dark that no matter how hard I tried I couldnt get it to look blue. I mean- direct blinding sunlight and you see a hint of dark blue... But it was a freaking Coke in every other lighting condition... And while a Coke is lovely. I waited a long time and paid almost 10K---- for a PEPSI...

Honestly, it was ugly to me. But I’m a basic b**** that loves anything double retail price.

So keep it.

Wait...what? They will swap out one bracelet for another? How did you discover this? Is it only jubilee to oyster or both directions? Is there a cost involved?

Is this going to be the “error bezel” that members on TRF will chat about as they sell for x5 normal bezel models in 2034?

Not true. I bought my Pepsi in July 2021 with the oyster bracelet. Called the RSC in NYC and the lady there said I can order a Jubilee bracelet without turning in my oyster ($2100). My AD ordered it for me and got it in a week. So I know they are interchangeable and you can buy the jubilee and keep your oyster. I would assume it’s true the other way around.
