Tudor BB chrono Panda is more rare than reverse panda?

Looking at retail grey stores as well as online, it seems like there are plenty of reverse panda, but you don't see panda (white dial) a lot. Is it just that the hype of panda is so much higher or do you suppose Tudor simply produced less of them?

Case in point, Bob's Watch has 6 reverse panda, 1 gold, and 0 panda. https://www.bobswatches.com/tudor/#/...21:Tachymetric

Just like with the Daytona, more people prefer the panda including me. Of course not everyone.

White dial has better visibility, likely the reason is preferred

I wouldn’t associate the words “rare” with any modern Tudor. There could be certain amount of hype associated as soon as they are released but with time it settles.

IMO, it is just a coincidence or matter of timing that few grey dealers have more reverse panda’s more than the panda ones. Grey dealers tend to list watches which sells more and very much in touch with market. In a few weeks or months, if they find that customers are asking for white dial more than the black dials, you would see more white dials listed for sale than black ones.

I don’t have neither but if would buy one would prefer the white dial / black subdial (panda) version

Thought that’s the panda. Reverse panda is black dial with white sub-dials. Right??

Yes, imagine the color of the fur around panda’s eyes.

Like others have stated the white dial has more demand same with the Daytona.

I think the white dial is generally more in demand than the black dial. Like others have said, it's definitely not a rare watch just a little hard to obtain at the moment due it only being released this year. I know in HK, no Tudor AD have walk in stock but all the Grey's have stock. Then in the UK, recently another forum member picked one up at an AD, walk-in. He did say it was not a city store but a smaller town.

Yeah funny about this. I was among the ver few fans of the all black release a couple years back, the watch was widely disliked and all the sudden a couple added colors to the sub dials and folks come around.

I want the white dial so bad but can’t find it or either one in any AD in my city...

White dial more in demand probably due to perceived connotations to the famous Daytona’s but I prefer the look of the black dial. Black dial and black bezel work well together, seems more legible as lume plots and date wheel stand out and the sub dial contrast works very nicely.

I viewed them both and it was black dial for me and I didn’t have to think about it.

Wearing it today

Think it will be like the Daytona. White always more popular.

Reverse Panda is the bomb. As well as the black daytona, so much better than white. And I love panda dials myself.

Love the black dial but I have two other black dial watches so I’m hoping for a reverse panda.

My AD said that they’ve had only a couple reverse pandas delivered so far this year.

Just to be correct so we are all talking on the same page here:

Nickname 'Panda' Refers to White Dial, black Sub Dials, just like a Panda's face and black eyes.

He is my 'Panda' on an after market rubbber strap.

In the real world, legibility of the hands on the white dial is not an issue. The hands are mirror polished and thus reflect whatever they see. Sure its not pure contrast like on the black dial, but I have never had an issue in reading the time on the white dial.
