?Date indicator slightly off on 15500
Hi all,
Purchased a 15500OR brand new from an AP AD back in Feb. Has never been dropped or mistreated in any way. I’ve noticed that the date in the window seems a little bit high in the window which happens spontaneously. Watch was just wound and date set around 3:30 pm and the date sat perfectly at that time. This pic was taken at around 5:25 pm. I’ve also noticed this in the middle of the day. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

I have a 15500st that was purchased new about four months ago and came with this exact same issue. Never dropped or mishandled but did this from day 1 out of the box. Took it to the AP boutique in my city and they sent it in for service. Service was covered under warranty but they didn’t give much detailed info on why it happened. Took about a month to fix and when it came back the date function worked perfectly.
You also don’t need to send it in as the watch isn’t broken, but it bugged me so I had it serviced. |

Mine has the same issue, as do others’. See this thread as an example.

Thanks very much, grateful for the info. Is yours also the same time of day, late afternoon?

Yes, between 6 and 7 or so. It clicks right back into place around 7.

It happened to my code 1159. What I did to solve the problem was to advance the time to 7am and then set the crown to date adjustment and cycled it back to "today's date - 1 day". Afterwards I set the crown back to time adjustment and cycled it past midnight and all the way to the correct current time. No problem ever since.

Exact thing happened to my 15500, and it is currently in service under warranty to get it fixed. I dropped it off 2 weeks ago, so hopefully I’ll have it back in another 2 weeks.

Whats with Rolex/AP and Tudor all having date change issues.
It should be the most simple complication there is. LOL |

No idea, i just assumed a gear was stuck and tried to "reset" the date wheel. It does solve the date misalignment problem, however I'll be taking it to the boutique to get it sent into service to check before the warranty ends. Just to be sure.
