Icon4 Ebay ..what does this mean?

"The watch does not come with the white serial tag or the bezel protector. The stickers were removed at the time of the original purchase from the Rolex Authorized Dealer."

Does this mean there's no serial on the watch/box? I've seen some datejust 41mm for pretty decent price and they look legit. AD price is around $10K+ with taxes and these are going for $12k (which is not bad for grey market).

Cheers.

No, it just doesn’t include the white tag that’s wrapped around a new watch. Not a big deal in my book, although I have them for all my watches.

Are you seriously going to buy a Rolex on Ebay tho? It's your money, but I wouldn't.

If you are buying a 10k+ watch buy from a legit watch dealer that offers a return policy and warranty

If it sounds too good to be true it is. Buy the seller not the watch.

Paypal, credit card and follow eBays rules and it's a very safe way to buy a watch. There's a lot of reputable sellers with solid feedback.

I’ve gotten 2 watches from eBay. Very different experience now. When you buy it’s mailed to their 3rd party authenticator. Is inspected photographed and sent with a credit card certificate with the SN and and identifier picture on the card. Easy to return too. I just got a 16610LV from eBay but since I already have a 16610 with a factory green bezel for fun. I was just underwhelmed for the $16k price I paid. I returned it and got my full money back as soon as eBay’s authenticator received my package.

Any watch over $2,000 purchased on eBay should be sold with an authenticity guarantee. The watch goes from the seller to an independent who verifies it and your money goes into escrow during that time. Should be safe as long as you make sure you buy a watch with the authenticity guarantee.

Sounds good and safe what ebay are doing now with this authenticity guarantee. Other high products too like designer handbags and sneakers!

Ebay is good for sellers too- I sold a couple of IWC chronos recently- went through the authentication process, so the buyer can't say I sent a Mickey Mouse watch and file a fraudulent claim against me...
Previously it would have been the buyers word against mine and eBay, almost be default, would side with the buyer, leaving you with neither your watch or the money

Does this mean there's no serial on the watch
Why would yopu think that no tag or protector would mean the watch does not have a serial number?

Not sure if you are serious or not. I would not trust EBAY to authenticate a AA battery
