Day Date journey begins
Today, on my now annual journey from New England to Dixie I stopped by an AD at which I have a supposed/alleged half-assed "in". It is somewhere south of DC and north of Key West.
Put in an order for a yg dd with a VERY common dial and was told the following, none of which will be a shock: They are now an allocation piece No way is it coming before the new year-which we all understand Anywhere from 4-8 months. And that's it. Didn't bother looking at anything else or asking any questions. This model, after sales tax, is running about 5k over on the trusted sellers-when they can be found. Not a big piece of change for me but I figure I have another few months for the Final Tour of my DJ 36 and the luscious OP 41 Coral for the warm weather. But if I drive south next November without the watch having come in I am telling the AD go away and turning grey! |
