Help with Rolex Explorer 16570 winding?
Good Morning,
I was changing the time/date on my watch this morning, and think I spun the crown too many times because the hour hand will no longer move. Moreover, when I pull the crown out to change the 24hr hand, that one won't move either. I notice that when I push the crown back in and wait a couple mins, I can then move either the hour hand or the 24hr hand a couple hours but that's it. I can't set the time correctly because it either won't move at all and just makes this clicking sound. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: after a bit more research, it looks like the stem might be the issue since it comes right off. I'm trying to avoid taking it to an AD for service, but I will if not one has any suggestions. Thanks, |

Have it serviced. Keyless works has issues. Don't mess with it yourself unless you have tools and skills.

Why are you trying to avoid a Rolex service?

AD is closed today, and I'd rather try and see if it's something I can fix without taking it apart. If I end up doing more damage, then that's fine. I paid for it.

Thanks. AD is closed today, and I was hoping maybe I was doing something wrong since I don't have the manual. Looks like I'll have to take it down there sometime this week.

Take it to RSC, it’s broken and needs attention from an expert

Help with Rolex Explorer 16570 winding?
Had a similar issue, different watch. Turned out it needed a full service, the majority of the lubricants were dried up. I also was able to move the hands around after a day or so of leaving it alone.
