I never forget a site meeting with a demolition contractor I had, he was wearing a Sub and it was absolutely battered. I mentioned it to him and he just shrugged it off as his daily wearer. Good on him I say.

I always like hearing about people who wear their Rolexes and to hell with scratches, dings and swirls! A bit off-theme maybe as it's not a glide-lock clasp, but here's the clasp on my 1996 5-digit Sub, my daily watch. Never polished.

My wife beat up her DJ a lot more than that in the first month alone, some people are just rougher on their stuff than others, I would personally leave it until you need a service and decide then if you want to polish it or not.

It’s very difficult to keep the clasp scratch free when you work at a desk every day.
