I prefer the CHNR given how it connect aesthetically more so to the history of the watch and the look of the original 6542 reference. A Rootbeer on Oystersteel without PCLs would be perfect.

I have a BLNR on oyster. If only 1 GMT this is the one for me over all ceramic GMT models. With that said the CHNR is a looker and wouldn't mind picking one up at some point.

Glad I found this thread. I am right now in a dilemma trying to decide between the CHNR and BLNR. Still no close to deciding LOL
Some great pics in here though so will have to keep looking at them till it’s time to order the watch next year. |

Keep em both. They're different enough that it's not overkill.
Now, what I don't get are the folks that have multiple Submariners that look similar. One date, one no date. One 6 digit, one 5 digit. I dunno.

BLNR on jubilee and CHNR on oyster. Best of both worlds and variety of bracelets. Winning

I would keep both. Very different looking but same functionality. I'm still on the hunt to get anyone of those.

Any CHNR tough to beat. I love the 126715 personally but the TT is nice too.

You really don’t need to choose between the two. You actually need to get one more, the Pepsi. Then you will be set!😇

I kept the BLNR. But I also have a Pepsi, so 3 GMTs was too much.
Because of the jubilee the BLNR can be dressed up. For me black and blue work better than the brown. But by all means CHNR is a pretty much and both can be part of a collection. |

You can’t go wrong with any of them, but I prefers CHNR.

BLNR for me. Enjoy my BLRO the most between the two but BLNR over CHNR. Truth be told turned down the CHNR a couple of times but won't if offered again.

Those are beautiful watches to have in a collection!
I think that both are versatile enough to dress up or down so wear whatever strikes your fancy on a given day or what you feel looks better with what you are wearing ( or, more accurately, what your wife tells you looks better LOL) |
