Glidelock on 5 digits with SEL
I have a 16610LV and changing over from the 93250 bracelet to the 97200 glidelock has transformed the watch wearing experience.
The 93250 was no slouch but the Glidelock makes the 16610LV feel much more robust, modern, hefty and balanced on the wrist. What an amazing mod!! I was able to source a Glidelock bracelet from a different forum and I can recommend anyone who has a 5 digit reference that can fit SELs to convert to the Glidelock bracelet. Glidelock bracelets can be tough to come by, but they’re worth the wait when they come up for sale on the classifieds.

Is the glidelock compatible with the 16710 I wonder?

I think SELs on 16710 started around 2000, so you would need to check if your model has SELs. If so, Glidelock would fit. Here are some pics. The on the fly adjustability with the Glidelock is awesome too! I love the classic non-super case with the modern features of the updated bracelet.

I had a glidelock clasp on my 14060M for years and the thin 5-digit lugs with the glidelock clasp made it the most comfortable watch. I just swapped out the clasp only leaving the hollow lugs and end links from my original 93150 bracelet.
The glidelock SELs will only work on 5-digit models which originally came with SEL bracelets. The SEL on the 97200 glidelock will be taller than the 5-digit lugs since they were made for the later taller lug maxi cases.

If it's possible to fit the 97200 onto the 14060M I'd consider it. I've got smaller wrists and can't get a comfortable fit from the 93150. The best I could do was reversing the bracelet to get the clasp to sit more centered on the underside of my wrist, to avoid the case shifting to the 12 o'clock. Not sure if the glidelock would alleviate this problem? |

Both use a 15.5mm removable link so you can use the hollow removable links from the 93150 or you can use the solid removable links from the 97200. Both will screw together without issue. I even screwed in the half link from the 97200 and used it on my 93150 with the glidelock clasp.

I did this on my 16610ln and didn’t love it. Definitely felt more robust but it didn’t feel balanced to me since the GL clasp + solid bracelet made the set up feel bottom heavy. Weight didn’t feel as evenly distributed compared to when the bracelet was on my 116610lv. Ended up going back to the tuna can bracelet

Once I used the gladelock I now doubt I’ll be able to buy a watch without such a system. I move mine at least one notch plus or minus every day and up to two notches depending on season and my trainings paces. If my watch was not fitted with a glidelock I imagine the headache I would have had wearing it comfortably. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I find the 93150 and the 93160 much more comfortable than the newer bracelets...
