Thinking about a trade. Does it look legit?
Thinking about trading for this M serial Sub. The seller bought it off the bay. It comes with the boxes and papers, and papers from Tourneau. No Rolex warranty card but the serial is on the Tourneau receipt. Does it look legit to you guys?
Thanks Jim |

References? Who is the seller? Can you open it up & verify serials before finalizing the trade? Pics = unimportant.

More info
This is what makes me nervous..no refs. he is new to watches. Very Good communication though and he has offered a face to face deal when he is out this way(but I would have to drive 3 hours). Says an AD has looked at it. I find the fact that the Tourneau papers are present with the serial number a sign that it is not fake but who knows...usually I deal with tenured TZ salescorner sellers. This deal is attractive because it is a cashless trade. My gut and my experience tell me it's OK but I don't want to be naive.Based on the pics does it look legit to you?

The pictures of the watch look fine to me. I don't see any classic tells as to anything being off on this watch. Thumb recess looks fine, mag window, rehaut, all seems to be in order. I would definitely advise pushing the face to face transaction as this typically reduces some of the concerns. Especially if you can meet at an AD...

Looks ok to me. Not worth a 3 hour drive unless you are "stealing" it in my opinion.

Watch looks good!
Why would he say an "AD has looked at it"? Be careful! |
