Brand new Rolex 16713 at my AD

I walked into my AD today to find a Rolex TT GMT-Master ii 16713 in the case. This watch was a Y serial. On the surface, they offered me 10% off of the $7000 sticker price. Is this a good deal, or should I hold out for more of a discount?

I would pass. You can get the same watch in the grey market for much more discount then that.

The Y Serial is Mid 2002 onwards.

Even if it's brand new, it's still old stock.

35% off would be my offer.

And the AD is still making money. There has been several price hikes since he acqired the 2002 watch.

Is it unheard of to get 35% off? I know those kinds of discounts can be had with Tags and Omegas, but wasn't sure about Rolex.

I don't think you would be able to get 35% off but 20% to 25% would be reasonable.

You guys are too funny...........

A Y serial on a TT model could be much later than it's SS counterpart, and the list of $7,000 is the older MSRP for a TT GMT, so there is no price "hike" here.........

..and 10% off is respectable for a brand new, warrantied, TT GMT from an Authorized Dealer..... Yes, you might see 6,000 at a Grey Dealer....if you can find it.... that's only a couple of hundred difference.

If that were out-the-door, I could be tempted..... they aren't making them any more........

My AD is offering me a new SS GMT Master IIc for $6040.00 out the door.
I think that's about a 18% discount, if my math is right.
Also, I can finance it for 12 months interest free. I choose not to finance it tho, I want to pay it off in cash.....but boy am I tempted to bite right now....I think 18% is a pretty good discount.
They are discounting all the watches they have in the AD right now, except the SS Daytona, which they do not have at this time but they say they are "easier to come by than before". The last 3 times I have been to that AD in particular I have been the ONLY customer in the store. THings are slow indeed.
