FS- Rolex 1680 Submariner Black Dial

For sale is a pre-owned excellent vintage condition 40mm stainless steel Rolex Submariner. The 5.6 million serial, circa 1978, 1680 is sold as watch only. No box or paperwork will be included in the sale. The Submariner features a matte black dial with date aperture at three o’clock, triplock crown, and a bidirectional graduated flat-four later service bezel insert. The hands have been re-lumed to color match the dial and the case has been recut. Under UV the hands react slightly lighter than the dial but do not glow. The recut case is in excellent or better condition with sharp chamfers and some light wear throughout. The watch is mounted on a stainless steel Oyster bracelet that remains in 80% with no obvious signs of wear aside from some light scratches on the clasp. The VB clasp code date the bracelet to 1977 and is likely original to the watch. As configured, the watch will accommodate a 7.25-inch wrist. Powering the 1680 is an automatic Rolex caliber 1575 with an approximate power reserve of 44 hours.

Shall deliver with a 15 month in house warranty on the movement for $11950 plus state tax where applicable.
