Write a response to my ad for me haha
So I was sent this email (include below), and am trying to figure out what to reply with! Like everyone I want the submariner date, or blue dial fluted jubilee datejust.
Funny answers welcome, some serious ones would be great too, trying to create a relationship with this ad “I understand you met with … today and unfortunately we do not have the submariner in stock. Please let me know which alternate models you are interested in and we will see what we can do” |

Yep, I would just reply and say “noted that the Sub isn’t available, I will swing by and pick up the Datejust instead. See you this weekend”

Tell them you'd be willing to settle for a white ceramic Daytona.

I know this might seem like a totally outlandish idea; how about being honest and asking for what you want. Then waiting for availability.

Don't reply, go in and speak to them in person. Ask them what you need to do in order to be able to get a submariner in the future

Agree with this. Since you would like to establish a relationship I would just thank them for their response, indicate you understand the state of the market and would still like to be considered for a Sub, but would be interested in x,y or z in the meantime…

I would ask which alternate models the AD can get for you since you want to establish a relationship with the AD and dont mind waiting.

I enjoyed meeting So and So. It was a pleasant experience and I look forward to being a long term customer and establishing a relationship. I figured it wouldn't be easy to get a Submariner Date since I was briefed on the supply and demand. I'm still 100% interested in obtaining one for my budding collection if you can keep me in mind should you receive an allocated piece in the near future. Also, I am quite fond of the Fluted Bezel Blue Dial Jubilee Date Just 41. Both of these models I am committed to buying and creating my collection.
Sincerely, Matt Damon |

"Sting" Or... what's that guy's name, the one with sunglasses, in the band with Edge? He's an Aussie, ain't he? No, wait, Irish. Sorry. You know us American's, we can't tell accents. I'm running out of famous Australians. Can you pass as Nicole Kidman?
