Where do you see an auction? I'm not seeing it in the pic you posted. The only way I could see it being possible if they bought the watch and it is now preowned. Then they can do with it what they want. That would be my guess.

I didn't see the auction - just Tiffany and Patek auctioned the Tiffany 5711 :-)
