Ideas to round out 'collection'

Currently loving my JLC Master Date and 124060, but am hankering for something in between, if that makes sense... or a chrono.

Was wondering if any of the fine people here could make some recommendations to help round out my collection. would like to stay in the $10k neighborhood

things I am considering currently: OP 36 or 41 (DJ not my style), Zenith Chronomaster (the heritage one), speedy, etc

If I was looking for a chrono I'd be looking at

Speedy
Zenith Tri colour
Tudor chrono

(In that order)

If I could wear a 36mm watch I wouldn't look past the new 36 date just palm dial. So cool in the metal

Otherwise if you want an OP

I'd go blue dial.

I also suggest a chrono to complement, either speedy or in your case maybe even JLC Polaris Chronograph. Blue dial version would add another color, too

Mix it up, maybe something German or Japanese.

The Speedy Pro is my single favorite watch of all time, so of course I'd say go for a Speedy. That said, be warned that proportion and design wise it comes across just as "sports watch" as a Sub. At one point I had both in my collection, and I let the Sub go because, water resistance aside, I felt its use case was too redundant with the Speedy. I replaced the Sub with an Explorer which now fills the in-between dress and sport slot in my watch box.

From your proposed choices, I think the Zenith is the best option for what you say you're looking for - especially the 38mm variant which has a bit of a vintage feel to it. I'd also consider the Explorer. On the Omega side I'd check out the Aqua Terra line as well.

Submariner, Speedmaster and a JLC Master Date is a pretty good collection.

But a blue dial watch isn’t a bad idea either…

Based on your budget, I’d say Speedmaster or Tudor polar chrono SS.

Speedy all day…but if that feels too redundant (another SS, black dial sports watch), what about an IWC?

An Omega Speedmaster. It is as iconic as the Rolex Submariner and can be worn on almost every bracelet/Leather/NATO out there.

If you want a chrono I’d vote speedy.
