Im in a kind of a dilemma atm. My dream watch before my watch journey was a two tone black submariner. But later on i fell in love with a gmt ln which i own but that two tone itch is still there ( as i also own a 41mmlv now).
The question is should i flip my gmt master ii for a two tone sub or is that not such a smart move? The gf and the mom and pops are telling me this is not a good way to think as in theres always going to be something you will want and all that be happy woth what youve got and save and get a two tone one later in life. But these prices man ( and i know id get a two tone in atleast 6 months from our ad). Sorry for the long post 😅 |

Granted a SS GMT is more versatile and functions better than a TT in a one-watch rotation, but if it sings to you, get it. Life's too short.

uff I'm not a two tone guy -- and learned it by actually owning a Bluesy. I'm also not a yellow/rose gold guy too. If you yourself see no issues with wearing gold, I would do the flip. But it's true, the GMT is super versatile -- if that's something you value/need within your collection.
In my opinion, I would not have many supercases in my collection. I'd rather have different types of cases, bracelets, dials, and complications, to make a diverse collection. But that's me. :)

The 116710ln is a great and versatile watch! I would not trade for a Two Tones Sub

Me personally would be more inclined to get rid of the LV you’re going to have two subs otherwise - one sub and a gmt is much better if you ask me.

Be very careful with TT SUB. It looks great in the shop, nice in pictures, but the reality is this watch doesn’t look that good in real life IMO. I should know because I bought and sold 2 after a few months, and still look the vitrine of bucherer and think “what a beautiful watch”.
It’s super eye catching but the issue is you have two tones and two textures fighting. TT fully brushed is ok (as you can experience it on the beautiful 17013). PM brushed and PCL is ok (as you can experience with 1266618). But the brushed grey and polished gold doesn’t work IMO. It strips the bracelets form the perception of taper, brings about a contrast that isn’t good and ultimately makes the watch less good looking than a PM and more expensive than it’s SS counterpar. My advice: submariner is a great watch. Add the black SS one if you can, but don’t sell your beautiful GMT for it. |

The black bezel insert SS GMT is a classic, and does everything a Sub does for recreational diving, plus you get the two time zone function.
If you really think you'd be happier with a two tone Sub go ahead and flip the GMT, but I predict you'll have seller's remorse.

You can’t sell the LN. No way.
The LN 5 digit is probably the best GMT ever. Just a proper understated tool watch. Been wearing LN’s for years. Started with he Pepsi, went coke then finally LN and thats where my true love lies. Sure, the Pepsi and Cokes are classics, but for everyday pure tool watch practicality the LN can’t be beat. You just don’t need a sub when you have the LN. Save for the TT Sub. really, this is the best advice i can offer. |

Save up and add. Shouldn't be too hard to get a 2 tone Sub from AD. Patience is key.

I would keep your LN, I would have a LN myself if it wasn’t for owning a BLNR and Sub.
