It’s green! Still haven’t been able to take any good wrist shots, but planning on posting some better pics this wk or wkend. Here is a somewhat better pic of the watch and the optional deployment clasp (which was ~$1600 total with ca sales tax). Comes with tang buckle and extra black bands Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If your in the armed forces you get your orders for deployment. If your wearing that fine AP, the deployant clasp is a nice addition.
Either way it looks great. Let us know which clasp feels better. |

I like deployment clasps in general so just bought it since it’s easy to take on and off. However, as soon as I came home to try it on, I noticed the deployment doesn’t work for me….
If The clasp on the 3rd hole, the watch fits through my hand but is too big on the wrist. If the clasp is on the 2nd hole, it would fit my wrist perfectly but won’t go through my hand. I guess I have big hands but disproportionally smaller wrists….so the $1600 I spent on the clasp is kind of a waste but w/e….I should have tried it at the store first |

You guys are killing me. IT'S A DEPLOYANT CLASP NOT A DEPLOYMENT.

What an absolute stunner! Congrats to you. I have been looking very hard at a new AP Diver - either this one or the blue dial. I like the shade of gold used on this one for the hour markers and hands as well as the crowns. I’m gonna be that guy for a minute, only because I am genuinely interested in trying to obtain one of these - do you mind sharing your purchase history, if any, wait time, etc.? I’ve reached out to a sales rep about this model and the blue a couple of days ago, but I’m not even sure if the rep still works at the NY boutique as I met with him about a year and a half ago. In terms of my story, I visited my boutique back in November around thanksgiving weekend for the first time. I said I was interested in the 15500ST. SA was very respectful but told me the obvious…which is that I probably won’t be getting the watch anytime soon. He still took my info down and asked me alot of questions like they usually do it seems with new clients (what I do for a living; why I like AP or ROs, why I like this watch in particular, what’s in my current collection, etc). Anywho, I left the store feeling like a I made a good enough first impression but didn’t think I would get the 15500st anytime soon. End of dec/ beg of January I just followed up to exchange pleasantries and wish a happy and safe holidays. Then towards the end of January, he reached out and asked me politely if there are other references I’m looking for. Obviously there are many, including the 15202 (not discontinued at that time) and the 15407st…but I figured that convo would go nowhere. So I told him I’m also looking for an offshore diver (black or green) since I figured I was gonna buy one at some point anyway, and perhaps it would be a good way to start the relationship and build a purchase history. Only 2 weeks later in beg of feb, he hit me up and said he got the green 15720ST for me! I was shocked at how quickly it came and very fortunate that I got it. I honestly didn’t even know this was considered a hot watch now. Thought it was, more or less, kind of a gateway to purchase RO. Anywho, I love this watch very much and feel very lucky to have gotten it within 2.5 months of first contact with AP, and about only 3 weeks or so from telling him that I’m interested in the 15720ST. I think it was a combination of lucky timing, me demonstrating some knowledge of AP, my background (decent earner at prestigious company, but definitely not even close to most people on here it seems), and flexibility/willingness in building out a collection of APs before I get the one I want (15500ST). Hope this helps! |

By the way, to further open the deployant clasp, try lifting up the end of the 12 o'clock strap (where the deployant clasp must be attached to the strap). You should hear and feel a gentle click. That should solve issues when putting it on and taking it off. I have this exact watch with the deployant clasp too, and I absolutely love it. Deployant >>> tang. Enjoy! |
