My 6239 need service-recommendations PLEASE.
Good evening.
I have a 1967 6239 that is running slow and the chrono function is not properly working. Can anyone recommend someone/shop that can work on these watches. Thank you |

Honestly, any good watchmaker can work on this watch. Most have seen many Valjoux 72 movements. If you don't work with a particular watchmaker regularly, you can search the forum to find one of the commonly recommended people, use the AWCI search engine, or network with other local enthusiasts. This question is asked multiple times each week, and there are a handful of independent watchmakers in the US who come up again and again, so I doubt that you will get a different set of recommendations this time. Of course, there are many other great watchmakers out there, but most collectors prefer to be discreet about sharing contact info, since not every watchmaker is looking to be deluged with requests from random people who got their name off the internet.

I would definitely recommend Drew Zimmerman from Zimmerman Watch Repair in York Pa. You can find him on Facebook or Instagram if you have those. I don’t anymore but he does phenomenal work and has a Rolex Parts account.
