Ref. 1680 Sub - Mark I vs Mark II dial

From a value standpoint, is there much if any difference between these two dials?

Ugh. Just realized the Mark II is a service dial. I understand they carry far less value than original.

Tbh bit more subtlety than that....
Here's some good data - original white non-service dials are about the same - as no premium 'rail/radial/big eye/frogfoot dial stuff going on ( Y E T ), with the whites.... unlike the reds where 75-100% value different from s MK1 red to a late 5/6 non service red ! The white service 'tritium' dial (on this link) is nice though and only affect watch price by about 15-20% unlike other models eg 6265/63 small red where it can really knock the value ! Ps bit of inside baseball but Rolex made some T25 TRITIUM service dials in early 2000s that are in fact Luminova so check with UV

Here's the one I'm considering to replace the poorly re-lumed Mark I on my 1680:

The complete lack of patina is a red flag to me.

Ok just got back from The Ivy was yum! The one on eBay you are considering is a service dial as you say (the main tell is the straight line on the right hand side of A in submariner.its a $1000 max dial imho as such.
Vis my link - Don't be put off by 1680 dials with next to no Patina..... I have had a couple with no Patina whatsoever... that I bought from new in 70s !!
