Will do. Let's see where this ends up ...

I can you show you the sharp chamfers on my unpolished 116520 for comparison.

Those that have more experience assessing pics and what to look for, what do you think initially of this condition?

Thank you
Don't buy it.

This is my opinion only. The deal is problematic with the ad pictures and the actual photograph sent to you not matching. The main thing in my view is that the watch is not worth the asking price. You will lose nothing by not buying this particular watch. The economy is crashing all around us. Do you really think that these insanely inflated prices will last, given crises that are ongoing as we speak?

Right??

Seller: No.

Well said and I agree that it’s a hard pill to swallow. The thing that perplexes me is that these prices seem to continue to rise despite the economy around us. Gives me a bit of fomo that I’ll never get my hands on one, if I’m being honest.

Thanks for letting us have a little fun, but it’s all we’ll intentioned and hopefully conveys some good learning. Good luck in your quest! Highly recommend the top sellers on this forum. It’s a crazy expensive watch and a long term hold, so I’d welcome the chance to pay a bit extra from an amazing seller, complete set, etc.

For a whopping $28K they should bring the watch to your house for a close-up examination.

I don't think this is the same watch as you first posted. This one is way better. I see someone else has pointed this out. A crispy 520 is pretty hard to find. I went through this the past couple months.

I hate when sellers have obviously computer enhanced photos with fake backgrounds. I don't understand why they just don't post the pics of the actual watch as it is like many others do. Capetown always has terrible photos in their listings.

The store is legit and they do have a lot of inventory.
You just have to be smart about buying at those pricepoints.
The best way to deal with them is really to go there (as a local) and look at the merch.

Yes, spot on. At this point I'd much rather pay a bit more and get a well taken care of piece than an over polished one. Even the examples I've seen in person at a major store like Tourneau have been polished away.

That's right, I don't think it is. Where did you end up buying from ultimately?

I do think they are legit but agree, in person it's a lot easier to assess and make a call.
