Possible to update 16610 to a modern bracelet?
Title says it all. Just picked up a 2002 16610 to add to the collection. Absolutely love it but......all I can think about compared to my 124060 and 126600 is the bracelet is just so cheap and flimsy feeling. Between the hollow center links, clasp, and lack of adjustment like the glidelock, I'd really like to "update" it to one of the newer bracelets. I can live without the glidelock, but to have a more robust clasp and solid links would be great. I do like to keep most things all original but in this case, I am perfectly fine with swapping out the bracelet if possible. Wasn't sure if the it's possible and if so, how to order it. Appreciate the input in advance.

Feels cheaper at first but they are way more comfy. I got both 16610 and 116610 LN, 16613 LB and 116613 LN, but 16610 and 16613 LB has more wrist time. So lighter and comfier to me.

Plenty of modern bracelets will fit on your Sub Date. I have yet to understand why Rolex does not have them available for us to purchase and keep our older watches in the present century.
Some of them will cost as much as you spend on the watch though. ![]()

Possible to update 16610 to a modern bracelet?
![]() ![]() Had the same issue, didn’t like the flimsy bracelet in my 16600. Put one of my glidelock bracelet of one of my subs on it. Perfect - gives it a nice bit of extra weight |

Older bracelets are not flimsy, they are lighter, but they have proven over the years to be reliable and durable.
Lightness in a watch is something I take very seriously. |

Sadly. But also its good to protect the brand value. I just got a quote from service for new bracelet to 16613 for €4.500. Even its an old sub.. you can buy watch itself for double that price.

With that said, I can also appreciate the characteristics of the other models and vintages. |
