newly acquired pam372
i was able to find a pam372 at a very reasonable price and great condition. so jumped at it when i got out of quarantine.
it's the watch of your dreams if you like vintage panerai. it just shouts pam dna. pros: it's big = panerai it says im bold pure pam dna with the fauxtina comfortable case shape not like those 1950s automatic cons: it's big = makes you look insecure plexiglass = will scratch easily gold hands = should have been real yellow gold unfortunately i had to send it in for overhaul. it's going to take a few months. but im getting the mission impossible strap for this. anyway they are really affordable now. it would be a good time to get one. |

Don’t know where you’re located, but a service should only take a few weeks, not months.

Great Panerai, I wore mine daily for 2 years, don't worry about the Plexi.

peter gunny is a master in making vintage looking straps. they look at least 50 years old but are new. i have bought multiple straps from this guy. He knows his stuff. I enjoy it more than OEM/alligator straps. It feels great and really has a charm to it. people tell me my strap is broken |

Has the crystal of the 372 always been plexi/plastic?

Plexi is sexy. Easy to polish scratches. I think the hands are bronze and actually show up better. I have a 390 also which I believe are YG and they don’t show up as well as the 372 bronze hands.

but i think discontinued in 2020 am i correct?
the 422 was the one with sapphire. i think the historic and classic appeal of the 372 will be around for a long time. it's taking the service center so long....i think there is a delay in parts. |

Yes the hands stain. I think they may replace when needed. I still think they should have used real gold hands. It would be more visible Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

![]() So I finally got my Pam 372 from service. Definitely massive and a little top heavy. The lugs go over my wrist. But I feel that this defines what it means to be a panerai. It was big and thick that I managed to scratch the crystal on the bathroom door in 3 hours. I just think it’s a classic but you must judge for yourself if want the size. The service center here is excellent. Very skilled and meticulously watchmakers. The play in minute hand gone. The winding smoother. The jump hour more crisp. The jump hour hand is best with a watch this size so you don’t have to rotate all the way to the correct time. Better than rsc here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Nice looking, what size wrist do you have? Was thinking about picking up a 127.

I had a 372 for some time and it definitely was on the big side, but not as big as you would think. Great looking watch
