I'm sure this has been said before, but is the general increase in Rolex's on the secondary and grey market a knock on effect from Rolex's official price increase in early Jan?
In general the steel sports watches retail price increases were +/- 10% which seems to correlate

The Root beer specifically only went up by less than three percent though.

A trusted seller on this forum just offered me $22k for a BNIB root beer. This could mean one of two things… the dealer has a ridiculously high mark up of $8-10k for this piece or this may be an indication the market may have softened a bit and grey dealers are not able to move product as fast as they normally do. Just my two cents.

That would indicate $27-28.5k anticipated sale price from my experience working with several here. TT will still be slower to move than steel even for that hot GMT TT so that could be another reason.

Is it the start of a correction? Maybe......who knows. I sold out of 2 pieces lately and was going to rebuy this week but my good friend dealer said maybe just wait a month or so. Prices may continue to soften.

Its also been echoed with many of the Youtube watch dealers like CRM and LuxuryBazaar that not much is moving these days at current prices. Prices seem to have peaked for many Rolex.
You sold out of two pieces and planned to rebuy?

You "day trading" at this point??

Please don't see these watches as "investments." Enjoy.

I missed this remark before.

I'm not really applying that theory, although I did appropriate the term from that individual.

Not exactly true. I was recently offered 25K for mine. Unfortunately for me I am attached to all my watches and never sell them. I happened to have it on while shopping around.
