Integrated Bracelets on Rolex
Does anyone think we will see a return of integrated bracelets like Rolex used to have with their Oysterquartz? I think about the trend of slimmer lugs for the submariner and popularity with the Nautilus/Royal Oak/Overseas, and how Tudor got into it with the Tudor Royal. If they did, would it be a one off model, maybe a Datejust or OP option, or could we see the Sub/GMT/Daytona going into that direction. Maybe we will see a release this year…

Probably not.....Rolex is usually the trend-setter and resists the 'me too' instincts unlike other brands; their iconic references- Sub/GMT/DD/Daytona/DJ/Explorer1/2 are all 'original' designs. It wouldn't be Rolex like to regurgitate tired designs.

Some might argue they do that every year.

Context; I was speaking with ref. to Rolex not doing another 'me too' integrated bracelet release.
Do they release new color ways of existing references? Yes! Do they slightly tweak / refine the existing references? Yes! Doesn't everyone though? |
