FS: 1975 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 5402 Tropical Dial "Intermediary Series" with Service Card & Box
Serial #: 099XXX Description: Case: The case and bezel have just been polished by AP with the factory protective stickers still in place. Dial: The dial has aged to a bronzy grey hue and shows only very light wear for its age. The lume has aged to a creamy hue and the hands match perfectly. Bracelet: The 22 link Royal Oak bracelet is excellent showing no perceivable stretch. Accessories: Service Card & Box. Notes: In 1972, Audemars Piguet introduced the Royal Oak with a first batch of 1’000 watches called “serie A” due to the letter A engraved on their caseback. Two years later, additional series were produced under the ref.5204 with the letter A, B, C and D. This model appears to have been created in between series A and B in 1975 and corresponds to the 1972 design by Gerald Genta. The casebackis only signed Royal Oak with no number.
