No one talking about the PT DD36 with baguettes?

This is arguably the stand out for me this year, especially with the ice blue baguette dial

I like.

Not quite sure about the bezel though. But I will admit that the fluted bezel looks less dominant on this 36mm variant compared to the 40mm.

36mm day date in platinum coming back was my favorite move this year. Kinda upset there is no smooth bezel option as I'm in the group that prefers the smooth bezel for the platinum watch. Differentiates it from the white gold.

I agree. And the smooth bezel was always nice in the Platinum DD

Not a fan of the baguettes, but that DD36 platinum w/silver dial is the sleeper of the bunch!

Didn't even realize until this post that the 36 platinum had returned. But I like it.

Another first (I think): Platinum watches with prices listed.

The return of the platinum DD36 is monumental. I prefer this to the 40, just because its the traditional DD size. Day Dates don't need to shout

The Day Date 36mm hasn't been around since before the huge hype increase across all models. Eager to see an incoming for the first platinum 36/40 with fluted bezel. Hoping 36mm catches on as it's such a classic size.

Agreed. They are the best DDs I think but just too heavy. That’s the big downside of these watches.

they finally put baguette bezels and dials on a 36. i wish they'd also introduce the deconstructed romans for them but i guess the size makes it a bit difficult and it would look cluttered. would love to see this one in person one day but out of my price range anyway. not that i'd be able to get one allocated either

Preferred the smooth bezel. So bit disappointed, like other it is no longer an option. I was looking at getting out of my WG DD40 and GMT Pepsi into a DD40 Plat whilst it still looks nice it now no longer has the special look of the smooth bezel for me.

Always thought Rolex claimed Platinum was too difficult to form a fluted bezel that’s why they were always smooth.

What’s changed?
