Redundant Datejust??

I have a blue dial DJ 41 fluted with oyster. I am really digging the new green dial. Do you think it is redundant to have multiple Datejusts? Sometimes I wonder if I should just put the money into another piece. So many out there I still want…

Thoughts? Anyone with multiple DJs?

interesting one as DJs used to be the ones to buy in order to get the other stuff. And if theyre allocated its usually not too tough or long a wait. Nothing wrong with having more than 1 DJ if its what you like. Theyll likely not allow dial swapping to green for quite sometime so Id say yeah if youre offered then pull the trigger and decide if you want to keep both later.

IMO you can never have too many. So many different options, bezels, dials, and bracelets.Name: 20220302_143349.jpg

If the dial color is different….I don’t think it’s redundant. I have a couple, and they’re completely different looking watches.

Buy what you like. Maybe one jubilee/smooth and one oyster/fluted? I think between the different dials and textures you have enough differentiation.

Thank you. 16220 with tapestry dial 2004 came as a complete collectors set. Box booklets, stickers, swing tags, and papers.

I have the blue 41 (oyster bracelet and domed bezel)

I definitely want the new green (I’ve always wanted a green dial)

I played with idea of getting it on a jubilee and fluted bezel to make it different BUT I’ll get exact same config as the blue (i hope)

Definitely not redundant

A Datejust is one of the few watches I think you could have multiple in a collection. My suggestion would be to mix them up. One oyster/smooth bezel, the other a fluted/jubilee. That sort of thing. Go for it!

I love the green. I have the dark rhodium and would seriously consider adding the green as well.... Also my DJ is my favorite in my collection. I know its not "popular" or hard to get, but who cares!!!

Redundant Datejust??

If they’re different colors, no problem at all. I wouldn’t mind having a silver, blue and green all with fluted bezels on a jubilee bracelet.
