I need to see it in person. It's too hard to see it in the pics.

I'd have to see it. So easy to dismiss until you see it under the lights and say "wow".

My guess is it will command a hefty premium grey. Exotic dials are the rage.

Love the YM42. I’ll need to see the dial in person to judge though. I’m sure it’s better in person, in the pictures it looks like someone took scotchbrite to the original dial and applied the indices.

Almost as if maybe someone dropped a tray of dials on the floor in Switzerland and scuffed them all and then just sort of said “well s**t,… let’s throw them in anyways and call it Falcons eye.. That’ll do to cover this up and supply shortages”

I’m sure they look great in person though. I just need to see it to put it all together.

As with most Rolex, I have to see them in the metal or at the very least in user photos to make a judgement call

YM 42 - WG + Falcon’s Eye dial

I’m curious to know if Rolex will allow a dial swap for 226659 owners that bought one this year. Falcon eye has same reference number.

Interesting, looks like half the dial has been scratched up from something like a motorcycle accident...

I need to see it as well. In pics I think it looks horrible. It looks scratched and defective! Lower portion looks pristine where as middle and upper and all scratched up. I don’t get it. Probably have to see it in person

It's really beautiful in person. A stone with a lot of light play. Timex has one

Here's a first video of the YM42 WG FE dial up close.

Unfortunately there is no CC or language translation.

Thanks for this video, you can barely notice the difference from a distance, up close you can see some pattern difference from black, but theyre very faint, each dial should be different though.

He is saying the dial since you cant see the difference well is for the understated types that are more the "if you know , you know", to those who have pride in just knowing themselves its different.

Honestly, and I know stone dial is rare for a sports, but I am not sure its worth the 3k premium if its that similar to black. Put it on the WG sub and the world would explode.

Anytime on the share.

Dial makes me think of dark ocean with white breakers.
Def interesting.

Debating to get rid of my 126610LV and move into this.

So I spoke with RSC and was told that the system hasn't been updated for this possible dial swap option. Based on their experience in similar situations it would typically be at least 1 year before the option would be available to swap the dial if at all. I asked if the original dial could be retained and was told that there is a possibility of that happening. They won't know until they know.

The woman did say it looks totally exquisite and needs to be seen to appreciate.

Do you think a slab of quartz or granite looks defective?

Lots of factors at play with that trade, but if me and I got the LV retail yeah I'd make that trade, they seem to be investing in the YMs so it'll only go up from here. Getting more green everywhere so the LV is less special I think.

My debate is should the falcon eye WG come before the new YG YM? I guess it should but YG also is cool on OF.

I did get the LV at retail.
Love the green.

Hmm...Haven't thought about the YG.

I'll need to check in with my AD to try them on in next 2 months when the display models come in.

I would have to see it in person but from the photos, it's a big NOPE.

Another video. YM 42 FE is just after 6 minutes.

Crank the brightness up.

I think there's AR on this crystal from the looks of it.

Cool dial on a cool watch

Each dial will be unique, I assume?

That shot looks even fainter than the first video, it's pretty much a black dial that has some texture to it in the light.

Same debate as always with the YM, at those price points why not get a sub and source a rubber.

Very tough to see. In a way I guess it’s s good thing being subtle. Ties into being low key.

This is the first real picture I have seen. I dig it. Wish there was a bracelet option.
