AP service center in Australia?
Hi guys,
I have scratched my RO 15300 with wife's diamond ring.... Sapphire needs replacing and I would like to refinish the bezel while at it.. Does anyone here have any experience with Master watchmaking in Sydney?(they are listed on AP's website) Or should I just send it to Clearwater? Any ideas? |

Mate, for polishing and refurbishment, DONT give it to master watchmaking - one word; they’re useless.
If it’s only routine service; it’s fine since I know they are authorised AP, but remember that they are private business and only expert in restoration of vintage pieces. Their inspection and final brushing on AP case, I don’t think will be on par with AP. I did send my watch to them once and they couldn’t even spot the scratch that I wanted to get rid of. If anything; go to AP factory boutique for polishing; is my advice. All the best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thank you so much for the advice. I will try to call Clearwater and see if I can send it to them!

AP service center in Australia?
Yeah I think there’s another guy Michael A from Horologist, who I’ve heard is better in AP restoration. I’ve no first hand experience with him but have heard good reviews. Try him.
Master watchmaking; honestly are useless in this department. Also, their restoration charges are three times higher than what’s mentioned on AP website, yet they can’t spot a very obvious scratch. This is my first hand experience. All the best mate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Presumably the APSC in Singapore would be easier to deal with from a time zone perspective.
There’s quite a nice visit write up on WatchProSite |

That gets me worried. My roo is due for service but I now not sure what to do as Master Watchmaking is the only 1 in Sydney based on AP website |

What did you end up doing? Did you service it there? |

I tried making contact direct with AP regarding an enquiry I had regarding a full service for a prospective 15300, including a dial swap (blue to blue) - which was redirected back to M/W. When I spoke to M/W, they said that depending on the work done, it may go back out of Oz.
I would agree that I would only want AP Switz to be polishing if ever I needed to |

I had a full service with AP in HK for a triple calendar. Took about 3 weeks, and a cost of about $1200 USD.
