1981 GMT 16750, matt dial

Vintage Rolex in TRF, what a great place to post our vintage watches. I've already seen some great watches here and would like to add one of my personal favorites - my elusive GMT 16750 with the matt dial. This beauty has a production date of 1981 and wears the vintage 9315 band from the 1970's, which I added to the watch. I love the comfort of these old folded link and rivet bands. (I purchased the watch with the original 78360 band.) This GMT has been the daily watch for me now for the past several months.

Steve, thanks for adding the vintage section, and a job well done to all involved.

John

I have one very similar; just got it at the beginning of the year. I have it on a period Jubilee.

Nice watch Adam. It looks real close to mine. They are my favorite GMT's.

I've been wearing it for a few months now. It is probably worth as much as some of my newer models, so I thought that I might as well wear the vintage instead of one of the others.

The 16750 is a great reference with vintage looks and a modern movement with quickset date. I really enjoy mine also.

Thanks. No, not a daily wearer. I don't have any daily wearer, with almost 70 watches!

Great example John. It's the best of both worlds and my favorite of the GMT series.
