Same thing happened in one of the Canada's facebook group, seller got scammed $138K for a Patek. Cheque bounced, tried to stop shipment but it got delivered at the end. Sad

Honestly you guys have been a great support group for me. It's heartbreaking still, but thank you for the supportive words and for some hope that there is always a chance of recovery (even if its in the black market now).

I just hope the Hong Kong Police Force can find those shameless people.

There was a recent story here about police recovery of a stolen Rolex years after it was gone. So it can happen. Wish you the best (and the thieves the worst!)

All the best mate, hope they can recover the watch. Although I've gotta say I always sell my watch to dealers you'd always lose a bit more but its pretty safe at least.

As others have said, keep positive, I hope if you buy another watch in the future you can enjoy/make a profit off that & that may go some way to relieving the pain of losing this one

Easier said than done, but the prices in hk are going up so fast all I can say is study the market closely & you can make the money back for sure

What’s this going to do? You’d just have an overdrawn account once the check bounced.
