Daytona Service

I have a 116520 that I have had new since 2010. I wear the watch around 4 or 5 days of a month. The watch is in excellent condition and keeps accurate time. Is there any reason why I should send it in to be serviced? Is there any danger by not having it serviced? Thanks!

you will get a few different responses. but if its running within spec, why spend the money to get it serviced?

Not a necessity based on your wearing habits. With modern lubricants and minimal wear to the gears may likely keep going a few more years without issue

The main issue would be the integrity of the waterproof seals. Over time they will degrade, although they are light years from those a few decades ago.

The risk goes up for each year you choose to go, so go as long as you are willing to accept that risk.

Question, so omega, they do like fixed price servicing, so if components are a bit worn they just replace it without cost. Do Rolex do this? seeing they quote per the job i suspect they don't...

Some parts are service items, hence replaced regardless of their current state. Preemptive maintenance you could say.

If your watch is running well no need to service it. If you send it for service you should ask not to polish it.
