New Rolex clasp replacement cost
Hey there,
Not too long ago the flip lock broke on my explorer. I was wondering if this would be covered under Rolex warranty (the watch is 1.5 years old)? If no, maybe someone had similar issue and bought a new clasp from Rolex? If yes how much does it cost? Thank you ![]() ![]() |

Did you lose it?
If it is at all meaningful, a SS Daytona I had back in 2015 had a similar issue but I lost the fliplock. Rolex charged me $280 for the piece. I did not need a full clasp, and I do not think you do either as they are 2 separate parts |

How did it happen? I would guess this is not as its wear and tear.

That's an Oysterlock clasp. I think Rolex just call that missing bit a safety catch.
Fliplock is the diver extension on the previous Deep-Sea models. |

Should be covered under warranty imo. Probably $1500 for an entirely new clasp. I would be surprised if more than a few hundred dollars though for the Saftey Lock that fell off of yours if that can simply be replaced on its own.

Damage is not a warranty issue, unless you could prove that the lock was lost because of a manufacturing defect.

Just wanted to give you guys an update. Rolex Canada charged me $300 for a new safety lock. They had this part in stock and it only took 20mins for them to change it
