Yellow gold: polished or brushed?
Hi fellow Rolex fans.
Yesterday I came across a YT video showing Rolex and Tudor's latest releases at Watches & Wonders, among other brands. Ander Ugarte - head of design at Tudor - was mentioning the fact he likes the look of brushed yellow gold better than polished, which is why he picked it for the two-tone Black Bay GMT S&G (steel and gold). Brushed gold wraped center links bring out a certain warmth, as opposed to the more blingy polished yellow gold, to him at least. Do you think this could work with Rolex TT warches? A more subdued brushed finish to give it a warmer look? Personally, I like polished gold better. What do you guys think? https://youtu.be/cBwRynwSzJw |

Depends on how you treat your watches.
Gold polished centre links are easily scuffed. Choose the finish that you are comfortable with.

I like the gold either way. It is really about the watch as to which finish works better.

I don't care for the brushed look. Not only that, I don't think it would work well with the Rolex TT offerings, as their approach is different with PM. Just my opinion.
However, put that together with a nice leather strap, and you've got something. |

Brushed, if polished it will look brushed after 6 months-year from wearing
