Rolex Comex submariner 729 escape valve NO RESERVE
Rolex Comex submariner 729 escape valve NO RESERVE
Seller: palmbeachwholesale ( 1 ) Item location: Spofford, New Hampshire, United States Issue - Not a comex expert, but this don't looks right, Pav, orchi, Friends is this a cheap knock off as I think it is? Purchased many years ago at an antique fair in Stratton Vermont, I will NOT guarantee anything about this watch other than the automatic movement seems flawless and it seems to keep perfect time for approximately 1.5 to 2 days when wound and sitting on desk with no movement. Other than that, I do not know anything about the history or authenticity and therefore will not accept any complaints or returns whatsoever on this item. Dial reads “ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL” at top center. At lower center there is a white rectangular box which reads “COMEX” below that there is a small line which I can’t read because the plastic crystal is a little hazy for that fine print but below that it reads “SUBMARINER”. On the back of the watch it reads “ROLEX COMEX 729 GAS ESCAPE VALVE” Between lugs on one side it reads “stainless steel 2950417” on the other side it reads “registered design” (I think, as it is pretty scuffed up) and under that it seems to have a few numbers that might start with a “5” but I can’t read the rest. I will not take this to your jeweler so don’t ask. I will not meet you anywhere so don’t ask. You can’t come to my home to inspect so don’t ask. I will not try to open the case so don’t ask. What you see is what you get, if you are uncomfortable with these terms and conditions then please do not bid. Payment will be made by cashiers check or certified checks only, no paypal accepted. The watch in the photos will ship once your funds clear. Shipping will be a flat $35.00 and I will not ship out of the United States unless we make an agreement prior to your bidding. Bidders with zero feedback may have their bids retracted.

I was just looking to see if I could find the source, and there's another point to ponder. Notice how they're covering the L in Rolex with the second hand/Mercedes. That's because they often misalign the coronet and L.
Some of them look like they "patined" the markers with a highlighter- at least this isn't that bad. |

For some reason I keep thinking that serial 729 was identified as being used on fakes. Does anyone else remember that or I am just getting feable minded?
