If you had to complete a two watch collection, first being a 14060m

Between those 2 choices, the LV. It’s the more interesting Sub with a touch of color. My favorite color.

Not a fan of the explorer. Would rather get a Tudor Ranger for that style watch

Not an option but I would do a polar ExII. Perfect pair, IMO.

I would choose the Explorer. It’s a wonderful, iconic watch with its own distinct lineage. It’s versatile and can pass as a “dress watch” because of its simplicity and the lack of features associated with sports watches…no rotable bezel, nor GMT function, nor chronograph. Not even a date to clutter the dial.

I prefer it to the current OPs, because I like that “3-6-9” dial, and, subtly, it has the traits of the professional line…that triangle marker at 12 o’clock and a clasp that secures nicely.

It fits me exceptionally well, as it does with you.

And, it’s a little less expensive than your alternative.

To me, an easy call, given the two possibilities.

14060M (or a 16600) covers the dive watch. The second one would be a Speedmaster, Explorer 36mm or a Big Pilot. Or this could be a nice 4-watch collection, which is where I’m going.

There are so many watches that would pair perfectly with that Sub. I assume you have narrowed it down to the two you like the most. I vote Explorer out of those two.
